The returning officer (RO) discarded the nomination papers of Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) from NA-53 Islamabad. In return, Khan challenged his decision of rejection to not illegible to contest in Election 2018 from NA-53. Babar Awan has filed an appeal contrary to RO’s decision in an appellate court of Islamabad High Court (IHC). Khan appeal against rejection holds some important points inside. Recently, Maryam Nawaz’s nomination papers have been accepted, and she has been allowed to contest from NA-125 and NA-127. The court has now been sent notice to RO concerning Imran Khan appeal against rejection of nomination papers.
The Central Media Department of PTI asks from court to not look at RO’s decision as it is based on quirky and tenuous bases. On the other hand, they claim that the decision of nomination papers is based on the technical faults. Furthermore, Babar Awan mentions in the Imran Khan appeal against rejection; that this decision is contrary to justice and fairness of all kinds. In place of his candidate’s fair play as he hasn’t hidden or declared anything wrong.
He further added: Imran Khan is interpreting “unparalleled” services as a humanitarian whether to look into in the ranges of cancer treatment; or in the higher education of “personal ability. Moreover, Imran Khan is ready and willing to correct the deficiencies that are found in the nomination papers; by filling an “otherwise minor obligatory access” in Section N of the official declaration.
What is more to find in the Imran Khan appeal against rejection of Nomination papers ?
In order to dismiss this verdict in the appeal there is a point to consider the decision of Returning officer against justice; for the reason that he should be issued a show cause notice rather than a direct rejection of the nomination papers. Imran Khan, this time want to change his constituency and contest from Islamabad in the General elections 2018. In spite of rebuff, from a couple of constituencies, NA-53 Islamabad and NA-95 Mianwali; he has three constituencies to contest from; NA-35 Bannu, NA-131 Lahore, NA-243 Karachi in the elections 2018.
