Sharjah’s public libraries are popular cultural destinations for both residents and visitors; where they gain access to books, periodicals, and other sources of information. Those are constantly updated through the purchase of books exhibited at SIBF; in addition, other book fairs in the UAE and the region; as well as through direct acquisition from publishing houses and bookstores. Sharjah’s government entities allocate libraries to their employees as well as provide them the time to read at workplace which is in line with their strategies aimed at enhancing knowledge and culture.
